CONCLUDED!! JAMB meets WAEC, NECO, to fix 2017 UTME Date

JAMB has now concluded plans to fix the dates for the 2017 UTME. This was made known today by The Head, Media and Information of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin.

Members of the JAMB board have been scheduled to meet with board members of WAEC, NECO and NABTEB on Tuesday, 17th January, to find suitable dates for the 2017 UTME.

The West African Examinations Council,WAEC, has released the results of the 2016 Nov/Dec West African Senior School Certificate Examination, (WASSCE).

The results were announced by the Head of National Office, Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun yesterday in Lagos.

i) The screening will not be re-scheduled for any candidate. Therefore, any candidate who failed to appear on the screening day shall be disqualified.

ii) All FUOYE applicants who initially filled awaiting results or made typographical error(s) while registering should revisit the University website www.fuoye.edu.ng AND click on admission to select UTME Screening or DIRECT Entry to update their records on or before Friday 26th August, 2016 as no complaints will be entertained thereafter.

Requirements for FUOYE 2016/2017 Admission Screening Exercise

All applicants are to present the following documents at the screening Centre.

i. O’ Level Result (s)

ii. JAMB Original Result slip that bears your passport photograph.

iii. FUOYE Screening Registration Printout

iv. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Scratch cards (as applicable) for each result

Each candidate will be required to pay the sum of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only as Internet Access charge at the point of screening.

We all know that JAMB has scrapped Post UTME earlier this year and the new method for evaluating candidates for admission into Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education is via SCREENING METHOD. I.e You'll provide some of your documents and they'll be checked thoroughly so as to confirm the validity of the data you provided during the online registration.

DEAR WAEC
It saddens my heart to write on this note. The issue on ground is making me want to ask myself if examination is the true test of students ability... Of course not, how can the whole of a Centre fail one subject... All students in a particular Centre failed just one subject without explanation from the examination board.

This surely leaves me with the conclusion that WAEC is an under utilized examination board and as such not capable of conducting exam in the country,. Little wonder why waec result is unacceptable outside West Africa. Few years from now.. I'm so sure that students will get an eye opener and they will loose confidence in WAEC then opt for #NECO. Why will you jeopardize students future with your negligence and incompetence? Waec has been politicized and as such we no longer rest our confidence in WAEC.

Checking the result is quite simple (even for a newbie)
To check WAEC 2016 MAY/JUNE RESULT,
i. Goto www.waecdirect.org
ll you need is your Waec Exam Number and Waec Result Checker.

ii. After the page has finished loading, type your EXAM NUMBER, Choose 2016.

iii. Now, on your WAEC RESULT CHECKER, type the serial numbers and pin on it.

Breaking: WAEC release May/June 2016 WASSCE

– The new breakdown of results shows thatthere is a significant rise in number of candidates who passed

– WAEC representative says withheld results would be analysed and proper actions takenApproximately 53% of students who sat for the 2016 May/June West African Senior Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have passed.According to the results released on Friday, August 5, by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Lagos, 137,295 candidates (representing 8.89%) had their results withheld.


The total number of candidates who passed had credit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics was 878,040 which represented 52.97%, a stark contrast to the 2014 and 2015 breakdown where 31.28% and 38.68% respectively had the same ratings.File photo of some students in an examination hall.Vanguard quotes Olu Adenipekun, the Nigerian head of WAEC as saying:“the cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate committee of the Council in duecourse for consideration.

”He informed also that 1,552,758 candidates sat for this year’s examination May/June examination, explaining further that out of the 1,544,234 who sat for the exams,“a total of 1,014,573 candidates, representing 65.70% obtained six (6) credits and above; one million one hundred sixty seven thousand four hundred and eighty four (1,167,484) candidates, representing 75.60% obtained five (5) credits and above, while one million two hundred and eighty two thousand two hundred and four (1,282,204) candidates, representing 83.03% obtained credit and above in four (4)subjects.”1,370,049 candidates, representing 88.72% obtained credit and above in three subjects just as 1,438,679 candidates, representing 93.16% had credit passes and above in two subjects.

In other news,Fabian Benjamin, the head of Media and Information at the Joint Matriculations Board (JAMB), has released a statement containing the exact criteria for 2016 admission.This latest development is coming after information on the examination board’s website had indicated that there would be a new point system to grant students admission to tertiary institutions. According to the report made available by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, July 10 in Lagos, it was gathered that the admission of candidates into tertiary institutions will be based purely on three pillars which include: merit, catchment and educationally less developed states

How To Gain Admission Into Nigeria Universities Without JAMB

It is not new to us that year in year out every, millions of students apply for JAMB and participate in the exam, before admission can be given to such person. .Admission is offered based on the performance of the candidates in both Jamb and post utme.

Unfortunately, if you don't you don't have a good score in jamb or the post ume, there is high tendency that you'll not be granted any admission.

I have received lots of calls and sms from various people asking if there is any alternative to gain admission without jamb because they are scared of staying at home for another year . After a while, I decided to go into findings on how to gain admission without JAMB

In this article, i'll be talking about ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO SECURE ADMISSION INTO TERTIARY INSTITUTION WITHOUT JAMB.

Okay, lets go...

YOU CAN GAIN ADMISSION INTO TERTIARY INSTITUTION WITHOUT JAMB via:

1.INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD (IJMB): , This is an A level program with the duration of 9 months and after completion you are qualified to secure admission into 200 level in any Nigeria University by applying through Direct Entry. This program is It is legitimate.
Also, you dont need to write jamb, all you need is o'level result such as  Waec, Gce, neco, nabteb, and the likes (You must have at least 5 credit in one sitting, or 6 credit in two sittings), A lot of people are gaining admission into the university with this IJMB program directly into 200 level every year.

After the 9 months,candidates would sit for the final exam. Some weeks after taking the exam,your result will be released and you can now use it to apply for Direct entry to any Nigeria university.

2. DIPLOMA/PRE-DEGREE: Almost all tertiary institutions in nigeria  offers a diploma and/or pre-degree program. Diploma program lasts for 1 or 2 or 3 years depending on your course and school of choice. and after completion you'll be given admission into 200 level through direct entry while pre-degree lasts for 7 - 9 months depending on your school of choice which offers you admission into 100level after completion.

I also found out that some school requires you to pass your jamb while some dont mind your jamb score. Below are some of the university that don't mind your jamb score:
(i) Lautech, ogbomosho 
(ii) Unaad, ekiti
(iii) Adekule ajasin
(iv) Funaab, abeokuta
(v) Bayero university
(vi) And many more!!!

3. LEGITIMATE A'LEVEL AWARDING EDUCATIONAL CONSULT: In Nigeria, there are some legitimate educational consult that award A'level result which can be later used to apply for admission into 200 level in any of the tertiary institutions in and outside nigeria (i won't mention names because am not here to advertise for any)

4.SCHOOLS OUTSIDE NIGERIA: All the schools outside nigeria dont require you to write jamb before you can be considered for admission, All you need is only your WAEC, or WAEC-GCE result in which you must have at least 4 credits in one sitting, and 5 credits in two sittings)

It was also learnt that the price ranges from one region to another, for instance, studying within west africa (e.g Ghana) is much cheaper than travelling abroad.Just choose the one that soothes you
